600 years of innovation: UCLouvain spin-offs in the spotlight! ?
? This Tuesday at the Aula Magna, UCLouvain celebrated its spin-offs: more than 50 companies born from university research, brought together for an evening dedicated to innovation, entrepreneurship and societal impact.
? Since 1986, 94 spin-offs have been created, in fields as varied as health, electronics and sustainable agriculture. They now employ 3,000 people and together generate nearly 550 million euros.
? Our rector Françoise Smets underlines the scope of this entrepreneurial approach: "The creation of a spin-off embodies the three missions of the university: excellence in research, training multidisciplinary teams, and direct contribution to the well-being of society."
